Versions that are named
The Windows product page says Raycast supports Windows 10, version 21H2 or later, and Windows 11. It also says most core features work offline, while Quick AI, AI Chat, and features it called upcoming, including Cloud Sync in that answer, need a network connection.
What the manual already describes on Windows
- Root Search, file search, and an Open in File Explorer action for a typed path.
- Clipboard History with Windows shortcuts, without Apple's Universal Clipboard.
- Notes, with a published Windows shortcut table.
- Window commands, including virtual desktops that can close when empty.
- Focus, with the session shown in the taskbar instead of a Mac menu bar.
- Script commands through PowerShell, C#, Python, Node.js, or Bash under WSL or Git Bash.
- A Run-dialog replacement and PC game discovery for stores including Steam, Epic, and GOG.
Extensions are not automatically identical
Raycast says its extension API can target macOS, Windows, or both, and that extensions without native code can run on both. The Store hides incompatible extensions. A favorite Mac extension that calls native code may have no Windows build until someone ports it. That is a community and publisher issue, not something this site can patch.
The Cloud Sync conflict
The Cloud Sync manual tells a Windows user to sign in, choose categories, and turn sync on. It even renames the menu-bar setting to system tray. The Windows product FAQ, reviewed the same day, still lists Cloud Sync among upcoming Windows features. Both sentences cannot be equally current. Until you see the toggle in your build, do not plan a setup that depends on Windows sync.
Even where sync exists, clipboard history, passwords, and script files stay on the machine. That part of the manual is not in conflict.
AI on Windows
The AI manual includes Windows. The billing manual says one paid subscription covers Windows as well as Mac and iOS, and that Free still excludes AI. An older Windows launch article described a period when Quick AI was free during a beta. The billing manual is the source this site uses for what is free today. If your build still shows a beta exception, believe the app's account screen over this paragraph.
PowerToys is a different toolbox
Raycast's own Windows page compares itself with Microsoft PowerToys. PowerToys is a free, open-source set of utilities, including Command Palette, PowerToys Run, and FancyZones. It is not a Raycast subscription and it is not published by Raycast. The alternatives page keeps that distinction.
Linux
Nothing on the Windows page implies a Linux build. Raycast's FAQ says there are no current plans for Linux.
